While I was thinking about the relationship between public and personal space, I read a book called The Uncertainty Space. It mentions an interesting point that people listen to walkman (now music on your mobile phone) creates a capsule in the public space. People are able to enjoy privacy through censoring external sounds. I decided to test out this point through an experiment.
So, I decided to do an experiment -
1. You are provided a laptop & a headphone
2. You can play the music you like. The volume of the music needs to be loud that you can't really hear what people are talking to you.
Task 1 Work- 15 mintues
1. Please continue to finish the H&T essay
Task 2 Play - 15 minutes
1. Please play a game on the laptop
